About the Company
The Linda Duci Dance Ensemble is a dance company comprised of 35 young people dedicated to the performance of dance for culture enrichment and professional growth. They have performed annually in the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College for 24 years running.
A unique aspect of the company is the versatility of the dancers, all of whim are schooled in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Tap. As dance incorporates many art forms, the Ensemble, in many ways is among the world's premiere Dance Companies in its inclusion of original music compositions and costumes specifically designed to enhance the presentations.
Established in 1982 by Linda Duci, the Company is based on the concept that through self-expression, discipline, commitment, and dedication comes a greater sense of self-worth. This is the ideal on which Ms. Duci has developed and nurtured her Company. Exclusively for young dancers can share their talent with the community thereby not only fulfilling their own need for achievement but also enhancing the cultural life in the community in which they live.
